Time: 7:00 – 10:00 pm
Location: Chesterville Community Centre, 1 Mill St.
Admission: $8.00/person, $15.00/couple (age 15 and under free admission.)
The Chesterville Community Hall is at 1 Mill Street beside the bridge over the South Nation River, about 45 minutes south of Ottawa. We have a large smooth dance floor, off floor seating for everyone, and lots of smiles and laughs.

- The Wednesday Afternoon Tea Dance happens on the first and third Wednesday of each month from 1-3pm, at the Churchill Senior Centre, 345 Richmond Road, Ottawa. . For more information, call 613-798-8927. The cost is $4.10 per person. Write to [email protected] to get on the mailing list.
- Social ballroom dance at the Glebe Community Centre: Address, the second Thursday evening of each month. Time: 7 pm - 9 pm. The address is 175 Third Avenue (at Lyon Street South). Admission: $6.50 per person; Please pay for your admission at the reception desk BEFORE you proceed to the Scotton Hall on the second floor. Please bring indoor dance shoes. - DQ Ballroom & Fitness offers many dancing opportunities. They love to dance and the dance floor is big. 1160 Maitland in Ottawa. DQBF has social dances on Friday evenings and a round dance practice on Saturday afternoons. There is an open ballroom dance every other Sunday from 2 pm to 5 pm and admission $10 per person.
- SlavaTalent Ballroom Dance Studio in Nepean offers public dances on Saturday evenings.
- Art Motion Ottawa, 60 Colonnade Road in Ottawa, apparently has dance practice on Saturday afternoons. Check their Facebook page for more details..
- Studio X in Ottawa offers Afrolatinfix monthly social s on the 3rd Saturday of the month. Visit their website to purchase tickets.
- Dance with TLC offers open dance practices on most Wednesday evenings 6pm-7.30pm, and occasionally on Saturday evenings. Admission is $ 15 per person. The location is the "The Church of Dance" - downstairs at St. Theresa's Church, 95 Somerset Street @ Cartier St. (one block east of Elgin Street) Ottawa. There are 3 doors on the Somerset side of the building, enter by the MIDDLE door and head downstairs.
- Dance with US Ottawa offers private lessons, group lessons, youth lessons, and competitive dance lessons. They have offered couples dance parties on Friday evenings in the past, but their website does not announce any at this time. The location is 80-B Jamie Avenue, near Merivale and Hunt Club.
- Kanata Dance Club, John Mlacak Centre, 2500 Campeau Drive, Kanata. Dances are held generally monthly, on Saturdays. Admission is $18 at the door, $16 online, and $14 early bird: $14. Visit their website for the schedule and the tickets.

Live bands to dance with and to watch for...
There are many live bands that play a lot of music that ballroom dancers will appreciate. Being live venues, you can expect crowded conditions, and lots of people dancing freestyle. But do not fret, just be confident, adjust your steps for the space available, and have fun. Put on a show for others and invite them to take dance lessons...
Allan McGimpsey also plays solo around eastern Ontario with soft rock and familiar songs. Allan is also known by the stage name Alleycat.
The Chesterfields put on a great show of diversified dancing music in Eastern Ontario.
The AM/FM Band is local and they play mostly 1950s-60s-70s old fashion rock n roll. You will enjoy Triple Swing, Mambo, and Foxtrot. Our dance club usually attends their winter event in Russell.
The Boudrias Brothers are often the featured live entertainment in Cornwall at the RCAF Club and other locations.
The Steve Gravel Band from Bainsville ON plays around eastern Ontario offering classic rock and country.
