The dance is a poem of which each movement is a word.
Now Announcing Lessons for the Spring of 2023
Our lessons are open to adolescents and adults, couples, family and friends dancing together, and single dancers. We invite but do not enforce partner rotation, so single dancers may spend some time practising alone.
Contact Tom for more information: 613-361-2056 or tom@tommanley.ca. Join our newsletter for notices of new sessions each season.
You are always welcome to take the first lesson of any program to see if you like it and then register and pay after the first lesson.
If you have taken lessons with Tom and Isabelle, then please consult our list of video demonstrations, so you can practice at home and refresh your repertoire as the years go by.

Russell Ontario
Tom Manley and Isabelle Masson teach Ballroom dancing for fun at the Frank Kinnaird Hall, Russell Arena, Russell, ON. On Wednesday evenings, for 10 weeks from Apr 12 to Jun 14th:
The International Rumba dance originated in Cuba and draws influence from Spanish and African dances. It is a romantic, sensuous dance with a count of Quick-Quick-Slow. The rock and recover action accentuates the hip movement. The Bachata is danced to typical music from the Dominican Republic. It is a count of 4 beats: 1, 2, 3, touch, and then we return on the other foot. It offers lots of hip movement and a solid feeling of the beat of the song. Fees are in the range of $113 HST included per person per course for the season (one hour per week for 10 weeks). You can save some money by registering for both courses.
